At French Broad there are several musical

areas that you can participate in.

  • Celebration Singers offer an opportunity to those who are unable to commit to the weekly rehearsals and Sunday worship leading required during the church year to join with the Heritage Choir in singing during special events.
  • Ensemble is open to instrumentalists of all ages with at least 2 years of playing experience and the ability to read music. This group usually plays once a month during the morning worship services and prepares additional music for special events during the year. Most of the practicing is done at home and at the instrumentalist’s own pace utilizing a CD and provided music. Group rehearsals take place at 9:30 am on the Sunday morning of the day we are schedule to play. Special rehearsals are also scheduled as needed.
  • Heritage Choir leads in worship every Sunday morning and supporting congregational singing, the choir prepares a weekly anthem that delivers a special musical testimony. The Heritage Choir also prepares and presents special program for Christmas and Easter, and engages in various outreach and social events throughout the year. Regular rehearsals are held on Wednesdays from 7:30-8:30 pm in the Sanctuary and in the Choir Room on Sundays at 10:45 am.
  • Kid’s Choir is open to children in the 1st through 5th grades and meets on Wednesday nights from 6:15-6:45 pm. We incorporate singing, movement, instrument exploration, musical concept study and learning about God and how we praise Him through music.
